Genesis 12:1-3, 22:16-18
Now the Lord had said to Abram:“Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you. 2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
22:16 and said: “By Myself I have sworn, says the Lord, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son— 17 blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies. 18 In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”

耶和華對亞伯蘭說：“你要離開本地、本族、父家，往我所要指示你的地去。2 “我必叫你成為大國。我必賜福給你，叫你的名為大，你也要叫別人得福。3 為你祝福的，我必賜福與他；那咒詛你的，我必咒詛他。地上的萬族都要因你得福。”
22:16 “耶和華說：‘你既行了這事，不留下你的兒子，就是你獨生的兒子，我便指著自己起誓說：17 論福，我必賜大福給你；論子孫，我必叫你的子孫多起來，如同天上的星，海邊的沙。你子孫必得著仇敵的城門，18 並且地上萬國都必因你的後裔得福，因為你聽從了我的話。’”
One of the greatest miracles in the old testament is found in Genesis 22, where Abraham, who once could not trust God to protect his own wife Sarah, after years of molding and making in the Master Potter's hand, became such a man of extraordinary faith, who even dare to sacrifice his own son in obedience to the command of the One who never errs. It would have been much easier for Abraham if God had demanded his own life. Yet God, who spared not His own Son, saw it fit that His servant has enough faith now to portray the most extraordinary story happened years later in mount Calvary. God fulfilled all His promises - He has blessed Abraham and has made him a blessing. All nations of the earth are blessed through Abraham's Seed. Today He will to do the same in our lives because we are descendants of Abraham and inherit the same blessings of faith! Isn't our God wonderful?
