Day-11

Psalm 121

I will lift up my eyes to the hills—From whence comes my help? 2 My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. 3 He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. 4 Behold, He who keeps Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep. 5 The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade at your right hand. 6 The sun shall not strike you by day, Nor the moon by night. 7 The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. 8 The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even forevermore.

  1. When do we lift our eyes to God? Mostly when we are in need of His help. But we find that when we look to God, He is already looking at us. His eyes never leave us; He is always watching over us. Even when we rest our eyes and are unaware of Him, His eyes continue to watch over us, without even turning away to rest Himself. He is the loving Father who protects His children and keeps them safe from harm. He has guaranteed our salvation from our daily physical needs to the very core of our souls.

We have no reason to be afraid, worried, or anxious. Our Lord is more than a helper; He is a Savior. Even in trials we can rest at peace because He is above all creation in heaven and earth. Whether we are awake or asleep, coming or going – we can depend on Him and find rest. Let’s praise Him today for this blessed assurance!
